The National Center for Schools and Communities, in partnership with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), is doing action research to identify unfair distribution of teaching and learning resources in several U.S. cities, and identifying potential areas for change.  This work so far has included St. Louis, Boston, Albuquerque, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Denver and New York.  On the websites below you can find data about school performance, test scores, class size, teacher experience, and other important indicators for these cities.
